Karl Höfner founded his stringed and fretted instrument company in Schönbach, Germany in 1887. With a reputation for quality, craftsmanship and innovation, Höfner soon became the one of the largest manufacturers of stringed and fretted instruments.

 

The Höfner Club semi-acoustic guitars were among the favourite instruments of Lennon and Harrison.
